Developing Your Screenplay
This course is an opportunity to work on and develop a script or story idea in a positive, productive, and collaborative environment. The development of your script or idea will be the focus of the course with exercises and feedback designed to improve your story’s structure, flow, and the play of your scenes, along with insights into obstacles writers typically face in the completion of a work such as writer’s block. Students need a project that is ready for development. Sessions are both experiential and lecture based. Computer with word processing program is required; students will need to submit a formatted, typewritten script.

Prerequisite: Previous screenwriting experience, either personal or academic. “Screenwriting - The Basics” is recommended but not required.
