New!The fluidity and translucency of watercolors can open up a world of creative possibilities as the medium’s inherent qualities allow for a unique expression of creativity and emotion.  Mastering watercolor painting begins with a solid foundation in basic drawing skills; while understanding lines, shapes, light, shade, proportion, and perspective forms the backbone of any artistic endeavor. By initially focusing upon these drawing techniques, students can develop a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of spatial awareness.  Having an interactive and collaborative classroom environment will further enrich the learning experience by fostering a space where ideas can flourish and skills can be enhanced through shared insights and constructive feedback. This approach develops technical ability and encourages a deeper appreciation for the art of watercolor painting. $5 materials fee payable in classNote: Students must provide their own materials and bring them to the first class.
