  This interactive workshop focuses upon how individuals can fill a void in their community by forming and managing a nonprofit or community service organization; and the organization may be granted tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Students will be able to apply their knowledge to the preparation and submission of the necessary paperwork, to analyze various sources of funding and assistance, and to develop ideas into viable programs and/or services needed in the community.
