It is an ancient Chinese exercise emphasizing breathing coordination with body movement intended to enhance flowing energy (called qi), circulation, and awareness of sensation. It also works to increase flexibility and harmonize body and mind. Each class includes fundamental principles of Chen-style Tai-Chi and step-by-step instructions for each of the art forms. Beginner Level 1 Step by step instruction includes Qi-gong as a warm up exercise and a short form set of Tai-chi Chuan basic techniques. Wear comfortable clothing; no street shoes.
