Sewing has had a resurgence. It is a wonderful way to relax and be creative at the same time. The main objective of this course is for students to learn about sewing in zippers, piping, buttons and buttonholes. How to make pleats and gathers, and a little something about different kind of techniques also will be covered. Essential skills learned in the beginning class will be use in this class. There will be two projects to work with in class. Bring a basic manual (not digital) sewing machine (with attachments and manual) along with an extension cord and power strip to all class meetings. Also, bring tape measure, pencil, charts, ruler, eraser, and marker. Additional supplies may be needed. $30 materials fee payable in class.
