Have you ever wanted to create your own watercolor paintings? If so, step into this course and learn the foundations of drawing and watercolor painting. Emphasis is on basic drawing and sketching skills as the essential framework for watercolor techniques. Students will learn how to observe and capture shapes, values, and proportions through simple sketches, which then will serve as the base for watercolor application. Step by step, participants will explore washes, blending, layering, and color mixing while developing confidence in both drawing and painting. This course is ideal for beginners desiring to build a strong foundation while enjoying the creative process of transforming drawings into expressive watercolor paintings. $5 materials fee payable in classNote: Students must provide their own materials and bring them to the first class.
