Get Relief Practicing Mindful Exercises
Being chronically stressed out and constantly feeling overwhelmed can take a toll on both mental and physical health. Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment without judgment. It involves paying attention to thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations without getting caught up in their repetitive loop. No one is mindful 100% of the time. We all need help and a little encouragement to be present and to meet any moment with gentle care and the wisdom that already is within us. In this workshop students discover their current level of mindfulness, followed by formal and informal techniques and exercises to become more mindful. Topics include:

  • Body Scan
  • Breathing with a Meditation Jar
  • Coloring
  • Energetic Movement for the Non-Ambulatory
  • Heartful Meditation
  • Walking Meditation
  • Silent/Focused/Guided Observation Meditations
Practice and dedication are crucial to becoming more mindful, enabling you to gain benefits from living in the present moment. By incorporating these mindfulness practices into your daily routine, you will experience reduced stress, improved relationships, and enjoy greater overall well-being. Come have some fun and Get Relief! $10 materials (stress ball and 54-page online manual) fee payable in class.
