This writing and story development workshop is devoted exclusively to helping you, the screenwriter, develop your story. Students are encouraged to approach their scripts in unique ways that will serve to unlock each story’s potential. Emphasis is on story development from two angles: the outside in (in terms of plot) and the inside out (in terms of character). It will be assumed the student understands the basics of dramatic writing and has the necessary tools to write a script. Each student will be expected to begin class with a script, treatment, or well-developed story idea from which to work.
Note: Students will need to submit a formatted, typewritten script.
Prerequisite: Basics of Screenwriting and Screenwriting II highly recommended.
