You have the crochet bug so grab your needle and yarn and get ready for the next step. To register for this course students must either have taken
Crochet for Beginners or have comfortable knowledge of casting, single, double, and triple crochet; increases, decreases, magic circle, granny squares, hats, squares, and circle shapes. Now it is time to go into more detail regarding clothes making, measures, choosing the right yarn, and calculating the amount of yarn needed for a project. Topics include an introduction to patterns, how to read patterns, and how to recognize the symbolism (stitches). We also will cover shapes in Granny Squares using different stitches while learning more elaborate stitches each week. The first day of class will have you making a pair of socks/sleepers. Additional second-level projects include clothes, throws, afghans, bags and hats.
