New! There are many aspects of urban preparedness, all of which make you better prepared for an earthquake or natural disaster. These skills also allow you to live a bit more self-reliantly in the city. We will cover such topics as food production in your backyard, water storage and purification, and cooking in your backyard if your stove is not an option. We will address the value of manual tools and battery-operated tools so that you are not always relying on electricity. What to do if there is no refrigerator? What alternatives do you have? We will also discuss toilet alternatives in case your home’s flush toilet is not available. You also will learn about which tools and supplies you should have, and which are not worth buying. The course will include recommendations for future studies.
