Landscape designers determine what elements bring out the best in a location. It may be a specific tree or plant, a deck or patio, or the use of rocks, boulders, or gravel. In this workshop, students learn the basic principles of hardscape design gaining the ability to beautify a yard while spending money wisely. Discover what design principles work best for small spaces, large lots, shady or sunny places, hillsides, and slopes. The course covers the benefits of drought tolerant landscaping. Bring photos of your site and a simple hand-drawn site plan. $3 materials fee payable in class.
