Design and Operation
One of the fastest growing careers in the United States is electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) installation. Millions of electric cars and trucks will be on the road within the next ten years, and California has committed to making 100% of vehicles registered in the state battery powered by the year 2035. This requires charging stations to be installed in garages, parking lots, and on roadside electric poles, all of which require trained EVCS installers and service providers. Topics include:
- EVCS Design
- Installation
- Operation
- System Troubleshooting
Course requires a total of 12 hours of instruction. Certificate issued upon successful completion of the course. $40 materials fee payable in class.
Prerequisites: Must be 18 years of age or older, and have a high school diploma or GED.
