The Getty Center Los Angeles
March 20

The Getty Center in Los Angeles was especially designed to showcase the Getty's unique collection of Western art, from the Middle Ages to the present, against a backdrop of dramatic
architecture, tranquil gardens, and breathtaking views. The Getty Museum collection includes European paintings, drawings, illuminated manuscripts, sculpture, decorative arts, antiquities, and European and American photographs. Several tours are available, but highly recommended is the Orchestral Tour which provides a greater understanding of the immense effort and difficulties involved in constructing of this fabulous facility. The Garden Tour also is another popular choice for visitors. Lunch is on your own. The Café at the Getty is self-service and has sandwiches, soups, salads, pizzas, pastas, grilled items; beer and wine is also available. There also is the Terrace Café for lighter fare, and indoor and outdoor dining areas to enjoy your meal. We will make a mystery stop on the way home. Join us for this always popular tour.
