Mycology is the branch of biology focused upon the study of fungi; and mushrooms are a type of fungi. Mushrooms, adding a fifth taste, umami, are used in cooking to enhance flavor and add moisture. This workshop will explore the world of mushrooms. How do they grow? Their place in the eco-system? Identifying features of safe and dangerous mushrooms. Join us to learn the basics of “mushrooms.” Discussion will be lively and informative.
